When male and female energies connect sexually:

The Upper and Lower Worlds connect simultaneously.

This allows the Light to flow into our lives and into our world. This is how and why we experience pleasure during sex. The Upper and Lower World relationship works in a similar fashion in our world; it is embedded into all areas of life.

When we eat a fruit:

The fruit is the Light.

We are the Soul, the recipient.

When the two join (through our eating), the Upper and Lower Worlds join. Hence, we feel pleasure and draw nourishment from the fruit.
